Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver, Colorado, seeks a dedicated professional to oversee Patient Services within the Culinary Service department. This role leads daily operations, implements system-wide best practices, and partners with nursing to meet therapeutic diet needs while delivering exceptional patient experiences.

The position requires a Registered Dietitian, a bachelor’s in Food Service/Dietetics/Nutrition or Management, and strong leadership and HR skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management; Registered Dietitian within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe required by first day of work (where applicable).
• ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire if not current.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to meet patient needs and educate on diets.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Coordinates with frontline caregivers to ensure provider orders are followed.
• Implements clinical best practices to deliver care at appropriate cost.
• Provides value-based leadership for high-performing teams and operations.
• Manages HR functions including hiring, training, mentoring, evaluation, discipline, and termination.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory guidelines are met.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores; works with clinical team on diet orders.
