Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management and RD status required.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day in Utah/Idaho; if not current, must obtain within 90 days.
• Proven leadership of diverse teams and strong communication skills.
• Experience with office software, spreadsheets, databases, internet and scheduling apps; familiarity with tracking systems.
• Quality improvement initiative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of patient meal services.
• Collaborates with nursing to meet patient needs and ensure guidelines.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets per orders.
• Manages staff, hires, trains, mentors, and handles disciplinary actions.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores; implements outcome plans.
