Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food service, dietetics, nutrition or management is required.
• Registered Dietitian (CDR) credential expected within 6 months of hire.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by first day where applicable.
• Proven leadership of a diverse team and strong communication skills.
• Quality improvement experience and familiarity with hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily patient meal services operations in the hospital.
• Partners with nursing to meet patient needs and ensure guidelines.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets per orders.
• Implements best practices to deliver high‑quality care cost‑effectively.
• Manages HR functions: hiring, training, mentoring, evaluation and discipline.
