Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver, CO seeks an experienced leader for Patient Services within Culinary Service in the hospital. You will oversee daily operations, implement best practices, and ensure regulatory compliance to provide exceptional patient meals and experiences.

The role requires a Registered Dietitian, collaboration with nursing, training in therapeutic diets, and strong team leadership with a focus on quality and cost-effective service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management; RD required within 6 months.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• ServSafe certification required by first day of work in applicable states.
• Demonstrated leadership of a diverse team and strong communication skills.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, scheduling, and tracking systems.
• Experience leading quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to educate and ensure guidelines.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Coordinates with frontline caregivers to follow provider orders.
• Implements clinical best practices delivering care at appropriate cost.
• Provides value-based leadership for high-functioning teams.
• Manages HR functions: hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, discipline, termination.
• Ensures food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores; collaborates with system Directors.
• Communicates nutrition expertise with healthcare providers.
• Works with clinical team to address diet orders.
