Job summary

Banner Health in Glendale, Arizona, is seeking a Registry/Per Diem Diet Service position to provide menu guidance and patient meal service. Shifts are varied with part-time, on-call hours, and weekend differential where applicable.

As a Banner Staffing Services team member, you will support dietetic technicians and dietitians, ensure patient satisfaction with nutrition services, and maintain sanitation standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Requires reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Exceptional Customer Service experience is preferred.
• This position requires effective interpersonal communication skills and a friendly customer service attitude.
• Requires the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines for working with cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Visits patients to obtain or discuss menu selections and records daily patient meal selections.
• Edits patient menus and requests Diet Tech or Dietitian assistance when needed.
• Provides patient meal service and assembles patient trays.
• Delivers and serves meals, handling special requests and nourishments.
• Provides excellent customer service and resolves complaints effectively.
• Maintains food handling and sanitation standards to meet licensing requirements.
• Interacts with patients, families and staff and follows routine while ensuring quality and safety.
