Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Satisfactory completion of nutrition-related coursework preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain menu selections, diet options, and restrictions to patients and families.
• Assess age-specific safety issues for patients.
• Demonstrate knowledge of modified diets and related restrictions during meal service.
• Offer menu alternatives aligned with prescribed diets and cultural preferences.
• Process menu selections and diet orders accurately.
• Calculate preparation times to meet temperature and service deadlines.
• Ensure transport retherm carts are delivered on time.
