Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking an attentive Food & Nutrition Services team member to support patient meal tray delivery and tray-line operations in a hospital setting. You will assemble patient trays, ensure accurate diet orders, and deliver meals within 60 minutes while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires High School diploma and SafeStaff Certification, with strong English communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active SafeStaff Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety preferred.
• Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide service with a customer-first approach.
• Verify patient identity using meal tray ticket to ensure correct delivery.
• Assemble trays per service tickets and diet orders; deliver within 60 minutes.
• Prepare diabetic and other diet-specific meals as prescribed.
• Maintain FIFO in stocking and rotating food and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
• Communicate issues to supervisor and maintain patient confidentiality.
