Job summary

Children’s National Hospital is seeking a Hospitality Associate to support patient meal service and nourishment delivery on the unit. You will secure patient meal selections, confirm dietary needs, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure timely tray delivery.

Responsibilities include handling menu requests, maintaining accurate patient information, and upholding safety and sanitation standards in the Nutrition Services department.

Qualifications

• Receives and verifies patient meal orders and tray delivery times.
• Addresses dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences.
• Maintains safety and sanitation per policy and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professionalism; communicate with supervisor, nursing staff, and visitors.
• Answer calls or in-person queries; confirm patient menu selections and delivery times.
• Prepare, assemble and deliver unit floor stock and patient nourishments; assist dietitian with calories counts and diet orders.
• Respond promptly to patient concerns or complaints and escalate as needed.
• Promote safety and accurate documentation; verify information before acting.
