Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically requires 1 year of experience in face-to-face customer service.
• Strong knowledge of food service in hospital, restaurant or related environments.
• Excellent customer service and communication to interact with diverse people.
• Ability to multitask, take calls, greet patients, place orders and troubleshoot issues.
• Self-directed, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Read and understand written and oral communications.

Responsibilities

• Acts as key contact person between food and nutrition and the patient.
• Delivers meals and collects patient trays after meals.
• Records intake for patient calories as ordered by physician or dietitian.
• Receives and processes diet changes and documents in patient records.
• Utilizes software to balance nutrients per diet orders and allergies.
• Maintains patient information and reports quality concerns to management.
• Generates and communicates report information with teams.
• Loads and transports food carts and delivers trays to patient rooms.
• Effectively communicates patient needs to food, nutrition, and nursing.
• Follows safety and sanitation standards to prevent contamination.
• Maintains floor stock supplies on patient units.
