Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer proficiency and legible handwriting required.
• Superior communication skills in phone etiquette and customer service are required.
• Ability to explain basic nutrition concepts to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu selection via room service or bedside orders.
• Take food orders and ensure meals follow diet prescriptions and preferences.
• Update patient information in GemServe as required.
• Correct menu choices under supervision and notify staff of issues.
• Serve patient trays and nourishments and replenish floor stocks.
• Perform related clerical duties for patient meal service.
