Valley Health System is seeking a Hospitality Associate, Patient Services in Nutrition Services. This per diem position supports patients and staff by serving meals that meet nutritional and medical needs while upholding strict sanitation standards.

You will collaborate with nurses and staff to ensure accurate patient info, timely tray assembly, and warm, well-presented meals. Excellent communication and customer service are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Ability to perform on-the-job training.
• Ability to do simple calculations and record keeping.
• Ability to interact hospitably and respectfully with all ages and disabilities of hospitalized patients and assist with meal selection.
• Ability to work with limited direct supervision from department leadership.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with hospital staff to provide meals meeting nutritional and medical needs.
• Verifies patient information matches name, room, diet, allergies.
• Assembles trays on-time per diet cards.
• Delivers trays warm, promptly, and garnished.
• Requests patient feedback and preferences.
• Follows Late Trays procedures within 30 minutes.
• Stocks refrigerators and transfers warmers to prep kitchen.
• Assists with plating and checks temperatures.
• Labels and dates inventory items.
• Reports compliments, complaints, and concerns to supervisor.
