Job summary

Sage Infusion in Gainesville, FL is seeking a process-oriented Intake Coordinator to manage scheduling of new and existing referrals in a fast-paced healthcare startup. This full-time, hourly role supports patient access and works with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate demographics, insurance info, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits, and prior authorization for the procedure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage timely scheduling of new and existing patient referrals.
• Enter new patient demographics, insurance information, and paperwork into the medical record in a timely manner.
• Communicate confirmation of receipt of the Order to the referral source and follow up for missing documentation for prior authorizations.
• Contact patients to acknowledge receipt of orders and gather missing demographics.
• Assist with copays and paperwork from patients and coordinate with the Finance team for copay assistance.
• Initiate and track new referral checklists for completion.
• Promote Sage Infusion services through a team-based approach and excellent customer service.
• Respond promptly to patient inquiries and maintain high quality standards.
