Job summary

Springside Infusion is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator in Silver Spring, MD for a full-time on-site role. You will be the first contact for new referrals, handling intake, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient communications to ensure smooth onboarding.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in healthcare, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with EMR systems and Office, and a customer-focused approach to supporting patients and referring

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a healthcare setting with emphasis on insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Solid understanding of medical and pharmacy benefit plans including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance companies.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the infusion referral process from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all incoming referrals.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations for infusion services, including medical and pharmacy benefits.
• Serve as a liaison with referring providers, collecting clinical documentation and updating on patient status.
• Communicate with patients regarding referral status, insurance coverage, out-of-pocket responsibilities, and scheduling.
