Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Radiology Technologist at St. Rita's Medical Center to perform diagnostic imaging under supervision, ensuring image quality and patient safety. The role requires ARRT certification and adherence to radiation safety protocols.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, manage patient history and documentation, and maintain EPIC EHR and PACS familiarity. A state license and BLS are required by hire, with ongoing education supported by Mercy Health.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from ARRT-accredited program preferred.
• ARRT Certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• State Licensure preferred where required; BLS required at hire for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient clinical history and lab work; ensures documentation available for licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to demonstrate the area of interest while respecting comfort.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and radiographic procedures; uses aseptic technique as needed.
• Performs timeout as per policy.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
