Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist at St. Rita's Medical Center to perform diagnostic imaging under supervision, ensure patient safety, and deliver high-quality images for licensed practitioners.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT certification, BLS at hire, and about 1 year of radiology experience. EPIC EHR and PACS experience preferred. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and registration in Diagnostic Radiology are required.
• State licensure is preferred where required by the state of employment.
• BLS Basic Life Support is required at hire for some locations; preferred at hire elsewhere.
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.
• Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and lab information for use by a licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate the area of interest.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
• Performs radiographic procedures by operating imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures; applies aseptic technique as needed.
• Performs timeout as required per policy.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
