Job summary

SynergenX Walnut Hill is seeking a friendly, dependable Medical Assistant to support providers and patients in a busy on-site clinic. You will engage with patients, perform vitals and phlebotomy, assist with injections and minor procedures, and help maintain lab processing and clean, organized spaces.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt as patient flow changes. A two-week paid training program and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED - proof required.
• At least 3 months of relevant medical experience performing phlebotomy, injections, and vitals OR 180 documented externship hours.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• MA or Phlebotomy certification preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of EMR systems, HIPAA, and clinical safety practices.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and creating a friendly, positive experience.
• Taking manual patient vitals.
• Performing routine blood draws and venipuncture.
• Administering IM and subcutaneous injections as directed.
• Assisting providers with minor procedures.
• Preparing and processing laboratory testing.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and quality-control records.
• Keeping clinical areas clean, organized, and properly sterilized.
• Assisting with inventory and clinic organization.
• Supporting front desk duties when needed.
• Working with teammates to keep patient flow running smoothly.
