Northeast Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform patient care under the supervision of licensed clinicians. Duties include vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, point-of-care testing, and assisting with examinations.

The role involves documenting in the EHR, coordinating with in-house services, and maintaining supplies and equipment. Some travel to facilities may be required; bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Qualifications

Medical Assistant Certificate or CMA certification required.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Current CPR/BLS certification required.
Able to travel to different facilities up to 10%.

Responsabilités

Interviews and exits patients, completes forms, ensures patient understanding and obtains signatures.
Document patient intake in EHR including chief complaint, med history, vitals, tests and immunizations.
Perform phlebotomy, injections and vital signs as directed by Medical Practitioner.
Conduct Point-of-Care testing (glucose, urinalysis, EKG, HbA1c, INR, etc.).
Assist Medical Practitioners with examinations and procedures.
Coordinate with Dentistry, Optometry, Endocrinology, Mental Health services.
Review patient records for completeness and accuracy.
Route orders and results to appropriate personnel.
Maintain clinical inventory and dispensary; keep equipment calibrated and clean.
Follow OSHA protocols and clinic procedures; assist patients with program information.
