Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care to ensure a positive healthcare experience.

Qualifications include MA program/externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic paths, with CPR certification preferred. 0-1 year experience typical; credentialed MA certifications (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC) are valued.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• If credentialed, maintains MA Re-Certification CEUs.
• MA Non-Credentialed I: MA eligible to attain certification or EMT with current MI license, or Paramedic with NR; CPR certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
