Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient-centered care. You will welcome patients, document histories and vital signs, assist with exams and procedures, and help coordinate care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and complete MA program/externship or EMT/paramedic training, or CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of MA program and externship/internship or EMT/Paramedic training.
• Credentials like CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC are acceptable.
• MA credentialed options and active certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to improve outcomes.
• Coordinate care and act as liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
