Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care to create a positive healthcare experience.

The role requires MA program completion, EMT/Paramedic or Athletic Trainer credentials, and CPR certification. 0–1 year clinical experience preferred, with strong teamwork and communication essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an approved MA program/externship/internship
• EMT or Paramedic program completion or Athletic Trainer certification
• MA certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC) is desirable
• Valid CPR certification required for MA-credentialed and non-credentialed roles
• 0-1 year clinical experience preferred; alternative is 2+ years of clinical support experience

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments
• Collect and document patient histories and vital signs
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients
• Provide patient and family education to support health outcomes
• Coordinate care between patients and providers
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs
