Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BSN) degree required.
• Experience in a transfer center or patient placement setting.
• Excellent customer service and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Knowledge of Title 22, regulatory standards and EMTALA.
• Strong analytical skills to review data and make improvement recommendations.
• Ability to travel between hospitals.
• Recent experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operating oversight of Transfer Center, Bed Placement Coordinators and Transport.
• Ensure timely and safe interfacility transfers and patient flow at the facility level.
• Manage staffing, performance monitoring, workflow, payroll, scheduling and frontline issue resolution.
• Support data collection, monitor KPIs and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with ambulance vendors and transport to ensure timely movement of patients.
