Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana seeks a nurse leader to oversee patient flow, bed control, admissions and transfers, coordinating EVS and transport to optimize throughput. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to determine the best course for patients, families, and the hospital.

You will guide staffing decisions, monitor data, and support clinical operations to ensure patient-centered care and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice.
• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical oversight of daily patient flow and bed placement decisions.
• Supports administration, management, and nursing staff in achieving patient-centered care goals.
• Facilitates relationships between leadership, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams for patient room assignments based on diagnosis and acuity.
• Evaluates staffing needs with nursing units and plans for capacity surge and patient flow escalation.
• Collects data, monitors, and evaluates operations.
• Performs rounds and supervises day-to-day nursing unit activities.
