Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced professional to oversee daily patient flow, bed placement decisions, admissions and transfers within the hospital, and to coordinate related EVS and transport operations. You will collaborate with leadership and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care, supervise nursing units, monitor capacity, and ensure compliant, patient-centered care.

Required RN licensure with 3 years of clinical experience; BSN preferred; strong communication and IT skills

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice.
• 3 years of clinical experience.
• Preferred supervisory experience or transfer/call center experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical oversight of daily patient flow and bed placement decisions.
• Coordinates admissions, transfers, and related patient flow activities.
• Collaborates with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to assign patient rooms based on diagnosis and acuity.
• Monitors capacity and coordinates surge planning to support patient flow.
• Collects and evaluates data to support continuous improvement.
• Supervises day-to-day nursing unit operations and rounds.
• Participates in telemedicine, business development, and hospital outreach activities.
