Neurosurgical Associates P.C. is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our front desk team in Henrico, VA 23233. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break, and involves greeting patients, managing check-ins, and coordinating referrals. You will use EMR/EHR and medical scheduling software, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and maintain accurate records while delivering patient-centered service in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

• Experience with EMR/EHR systems in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency with medical scheduling software.
• Knowledge of medical insurance verification and billing procedures.
• Strong communication and patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software.
• Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages and respond to inquiries.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service.
• Maintain and update accurate patient records.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with other healthcare providers as needed.
• Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming.
