Virginia Heart is seeking a friendly Front Desk Medical Receptionist to support daily administrative and customer service tasks in our busy outpatient cardiology practice in Virginia. The role emphasizes greeting patients, basic EMR duties, and strong customer service to ensure smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in a fast-paced receptionist role, proficiency with computers, and a professional, courteous demeanor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in a receptionist position in a fast-paced environment.
• Medical office experience in a multi-provider office preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Computer proficient with good typing skills.
• Prior experience with the use of an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
• Provides exceptional customer service to patients and staff.
• Handles front-desk duties in a busy medical office setting.
• Operates telephone system and directs calls efficiently.
• Registers patients in EMR, verifies demographics, and updates records.
• Collects co-pays, prepares receipts, and posts payments accurately.
