Job summary

The Center for Health Care Services seeks a Patient Financial Representative to support clinic front office operations and drive revenue cycle activities. Primary duties include verifying insurance coverage, collecting co-pays and other out-of-pocket costs, and setting up payment plans to ensure timely reimbursement.

Responsibilities also include pre-audit reviews, maintaining documentation, and producing revenue cycle reports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Two (2) years’ experience with medical and/or clerical office operations including customer service, scheduling, EHR and insurer verification.
• One (1) year experience and excellent working knowledge of insurance verification and carrier regulations

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of insurance coverage verification and collections.
• Sets up financial arrangements with patients as necessary.
• Reconciles daily collections and prepares deposit logs.
• Verifies insurance benefits prior to service delivery via portals and updates in the EHR.
• Serves as backup to Revenue Cycle Services functions in the clinic setting.
