Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare business office.
• 3 years of experience or proven success as a Patient Financial Advocate Associate, preferably with Providence St. Joseph Health or its affiliates.
• 2 years of experience using an automated, computerized account follow-up system, preferably Epic.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and families by phone or in person to ease resolution of patient accounts.
• Perform financial clearance, payment collection, sponsorship acquisition, and financial assistance applications.
• Identify eligibility and complete submissions for State and Federal sponsorship programs.
• Assist patients with eligibility determinations for Providence St. Joseph Health Financial Assistance.
