Job summary

Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in Houston is recruiting a Full-time Patient Financial Representative to support admissions, financial counseling, and collections. The position reports to the Business Office Manager and operates Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

The role requires knowledge of governmental and managed care payer requirements, benefits verification, AIS-based registration, and effective communication with patients and insurers.

Qualifications

Experience in admitting and/or financial counseling in behavioral health setting preferred.
Knowledge of governmental and managed care payer requirements.
Ability to verify insurance benefits and register patients using AIS software.
Strong communication with patients and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

Handle admitting activities for patients and perform financial counseling.
Coordinate with insurance companies and assist with payments.
Verify insurance benefits and register patients.
Educate patients about payment options and financial assistance.
Ensure compliance with state and federal collection laws.
Document all patient-related activities accurately in AIS.
