PAM Voyages Behavioral Health of Sugar Land seeks a Financial Counselor to join our inpatient team. The role involves verifying eligibility with third-party payers, providing cost estimates, and guiding patients through the financial process before admission.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of admissions or collections experience in a hospital setting, with billing/accounting knowledge. Crisis management certification is preferred, and the role includes acting as a liaison to collect payments

Qualifications

• Three or more years of admissions and/or collections experience in a hospital setting required.
• Psych experience preferred.
• Experience in billing, accounting or related field.
• Ideal candidate will be comfortable with A/R follow-up, patient collections, and driving payments.

Responsabilités

• Confers with patients and third-party payers to ensure eligibility and authorization of services.
• Identifies alternative financial sources for services and facilitates processing of approval.
• Fields patient account inquiries and acts as liaison between hospital and patient, collecting payments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
