Job summary

Catholic-Charities-Serving-Central-Washington is seeking a Patient Financial Specialist to educate patients on their financial responsibility, verify insurance, and coordinate pre-certification and referrals to support smooth patient flow.

The role requires strong organization, multitasking, and excellent communication. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. On-site work in Yakima with extensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associates Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance payers or billing is required.

Responsibilities

• Pre admission/admission insurance verification and pre-certification.
• Screen for financial counseling and eligibility determination.
• Explain and provide financial policies and resources for payment arrangements.
• Assist in obtaining pre-certification, referrals, and authorizations.
• Explain financial obligations and expected reimbursement to patients.
• Back up posting for Yakima and Tri-Cities billing.
• Maintain effective communication with care team and management.
