Responsibilities

• Verify intake information and insurance eligibility; coordinate with multiple departments to collect accurate data.
• Assist patients with Medicaid enrollment, charity applications and financial attestations.
• Perform upfront collection activities for inpatient costs and arrange payment plans per policy.
• Monitor Medicaid benefits and coordinate with UM Director on retro-authorization.
• Analyze private self-pay accounts and adjust per contract rates.
• Make collection calls on private/self-pay accounts and set up payment plans.
• Provide back-up support for other business office positions.
