Job summary

Memorial is seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative who greets patients and guarantors, gathers demographic, financial and insurance information, and ensures forms are signed.

You will verify benefits, obtain pre-certifications, provide cost estimates, balance deposits, and support patient navigation across Memorial Physician Group, hospital and ambulatory settings. Travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• No experience required; one year of related hospital, medical office, or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guarantors and collect required demographic, financial, and insurance information.
• Provide patient estimates and balance daily deposits.
• Explain policies and obtain necessary signatures.
• Obtain pre-certification and authorization.
• Verify insurance benefits and confirm active coverage.
• Assist with patient discharge tasks and referrals.
• Interviews patients to obtain IDs.
• May schedule walk-in appointments.
