Qualifications

• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and public assistance programs.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient demographic and financial documentation to identify appropriate funding programs and ensure patients are instructed and receive benefits.
• Assists patients in completing the certification process with public funding sources to ensure applications are complete and deadlines met.
• Communicates patient financial responsibility and collects co-pays and unpaid balances; enters payments and balances cash drawer daily.
• Registers patients by verifying identification, demographics, and third party payors to secure Parkland's financial viability.
• Maintains positive relationships with agencies, patients, insurers, and staff to promote teamwork and professional image.
