Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Patient Financial Clearance Representative to act as the first point of contact for patients regarding scheduling, registration, and financial counseling. You will pre-certify insurance for scheduled procedures and collect estimated out-of-pocket amounts to expedite payment prior to service.

You will verify eligibility, discuss payment options, and guide patients through Mosaic’s financial assistance and loan programs.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or higher preferred.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience with pre-access services policies is required.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound pre-service calls for patients with upcoming services.
• Review estimated out-of-pocket amounts and collect payment by phone.
• Explain Financial Assistance Policy and assess need using the PARO score.
• Discuss out-of-network and non-covered services with patients.
• Verify insurance eligibility for the date of service and identify other coverage if needed.
• Evaluate eligibility for Mosaic’s loan financing program if the patient cannot pay.
• Verify accuracy of registration data and update demographics as needed.
• Verify patient health insurance information for billing accuracy.
• De-escalate patient concerns about past due balances and assist with questions about prior visits.
