Job summary

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, sociology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • CAC certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Identify payer sources for uninsured/underinsured patients and determine patient financial responsibility.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and deposits prior to scheduled services.
  • Serve as liaison between patient, physician, hospital, and payers.
  • Explain financial assistance programs and assist with insurance enrollment when applicable.
