Job summary

Savista, LLC is seeking an Eligibility Specialist I to help patients access financial assistance programs and navigate complex eligibility requirements. You will meet with patients, review their stories, and guide them through Medicaid, Medicare, disability, and charity care applications with empathy.

You will collaborate with hospital teams, manage a busy caseload, and ensure accurate documentation while upholding HIPAA compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years in a customer-facing role preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare and Social Security Disability.
• Strong multitasking and attention to detail.
• Ability to explain complex financial options with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients in-person to assess eligibility for financial assistance programs.
• Reach out by phone to gather required screenings and documentation.
• Guide patients through applications for Medicaid, Medicare, Disability, and charity care.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and government agencies to secure coverage.
• Manage a high caseload and meet deadlines while maintaining KPI targets.
• Explain financial responsibilities clearly and maintain confidential records.
• Support staffing needs at nearby locations as needed.
