Job summary

Conifer Health, a Tenet Healthcare company, seeks a Financial Clearance Specialist at Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm.

You will screen self-pay patients for eligibility in governmental and non-governmental programs and identify all potential payors to route accounts correctly. You will also obtain and complete the Confidential Financial Statement form and assist patients in applying for benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years work experience with Social Services or Hospital Admitting or related area.

Responsibilities

• Screen self-pay patients for eligibility in governmental and non-governmental programs.
• Identify all potential payors including auto insurance, Workers' Compensation, commercial insurance, private insurance, and Government programs.
• Obtain and complete the Confidential Financial Statement form and assist patients in applying for benefits.
