Job summary

UPMC Northwest is seeking a full-time Patient & Family Concierge to support the 3 South Medical Oncology Team. The role involves guiding patients and families, coordinating services, and ensuring a welcoming hospital experience.

The position requires adaptability to rotating days and evenings and a passion for creating exceptional, supportive experiences for patients, families, and visitors. Final placement depends on education and experience at offer time.

Responsibilities

• Destination Coordination: Welcomes patients and families, gives directions, escorts to destinations, shares visiting hours and policies, and assists with parking and tracking belongings.
• Environmental Services: Cleans spaces, handles trash, replenishes supplies, makes beds, and reports issues.
• Dietary Services: Serves meals per diet orders, maintains HACCP standards, operates food service equipment, and ensures proper meal delivery.
• Transportation Services: Transports patients and equipment between units, inspects equipment, and logs activities.
• Telehealth Cart Retrieval and Set Up: Retrieves and sets up telehealth carts, tests cart/software, and returns cart after visits.
• Supply & Equipment Management: Orders supplies, organizes storage, delivers items, stocks rooms, and monitors inventory.
• General: Answers phones, responds to call lights, interacts with patients, and follows infection control procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
