Job summary

UPMC Jameson is seeking a part-time Patient & Family Concierge to support a 3200 General Surgery Team. The role focuses on creating exceptional experiences for patients, families, and visitors, including greeting, directing, and assisting with various hospital needs.

Must have a High School diploma or be enrolled in a HS/GED program; prior customer service or healthcare exposure is a plus. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or current enrollment in HS/GED program.
• One year of previous job experience acceptable in lieu of HS diploma/GED.
• Healthcare or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Destination coordination: greet and escort patients and families; provide directions and basic information while protecting confidentiality.
• Environmental services: maintain clean patient areas, restock supplies, and report maintenance needs.
• Dietary services: assist with meal delivery and adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Transportation services: move patients and equipment safely and record transport data.
