Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Communications Liaison for a unit-based role within the Integrated Cancer Care department. You will greet patients, serve as the conduit between families and hospital staff, and help ensure patient and family needs are met during their stay.

The role includes data collection, patient education material development, and collaboration with volunteers to maintain unit coverage. Day shift, 40 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on service excellence and communication

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in hospital setting preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and act as liaison between staff and patients; maintain clear communication with families throughout their stay.
• Identify areas and situations to maximize resource utilization for families.
• Collaborate with volunteers to ensure appropriate unit coverage.
• Collect data on program utilization and monitor quality via patient surveys.
• Assist in developing patient/family education materials and coordinate with hospital resources to use them.
• Perform other unit-related duties as assigned.
