Job summary

UPMC’s Patient & Family Concierge role delivers compassionate, patient-focused service across the hospital, guiding visitors and families, coordinating destinations, and supporting environmental, dietary, transport, and supply needs to ensure a seamless stay and first-to-last impression of care.

You will greet and assist patients, escort to units, maintain confidentiality, manage supplies, support transportation and telehealth setups, and collaborate with nursing and support teams to uphold

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient and family service.

Responsibilities

• Destination coordination and escorting to patient destinations while maintaining confidentiality.
• Environmental services: cleaning, restocking supplies, and keeping areas clean and organized.
• Dietary services: delivering meals and ensuring safety guidelines.
• Transportation services: transporting patients and equipment between units and documenting activities.
• Telehealth cart retrieval and setup: retrieve, set up, test cart functionality, and report concerns.
• Supply and equipment management: organize stockrooms and deliver supplies/equipment to units.
• General: answer phones, respond to call lights, and support patient and family satisfaction.
