Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and families.
• Make rounds of waiting areas to check patient satisfaction and comfort.
• Assist patients and families by providing non-clinical information on delays and status.
• Provide directions to hospital areas and explain available services.
• Inform patients about the Patient Bill of Rights and hospital policies.
• Escort families to exam rooms when appropriate.
• Report concerns to the appropriate staff immediately.
