Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Liaison to oversee the patient experience across our clinics. This role supports providers and staff by managing schedules, coordinating appointments, and delivering patient education while upholding our standards of care.

You will build strong relationships with patients and internal teams, resolve issues, and help ensure treatment plans are followed. A healthcare background and customer service experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years healthcare experience required.
• Experience in a customer service role required.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedules to optimize resources (providers, rooms, equipment).
• Coordinate scheduling of appointments and care alternatives for patients.
• Communicate with patients and staff to ensure compliance with the treatment plan.
• Assist Practice Manager with data collection and analysis related to physician productivity and resource utilization.
• Help resolve billing errors and denials, including obtaining pre-certifications or referrals.
• Register patients and schedule appointments.
• Provide patient education materials as needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with patients, providers, staff, and vendors.
• Answer inquiries related to practice operations.
• Follow up with patients to ensure compliance with testing, prescriptions, and care plan.
