Job summary

Excelsior Orthopaedics and Buffalo Surgery Center is hiring for a Patient Call Center Associate to handle high-volume inbound calls, schedule appointments, and relay patient questions to providers using EMR systems.

You will also make outbound calls for scheduling needs, guide patients through registration requirements, and ensure a confidential, exceptional patient experience in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a customer service role; 1+ year medical office experience preferred.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and expedite as quick and efficiently as possible.
• Create an Exceptional Experience for all patients.
• Speak with patients and schedule appointments via phone.
• Inform patients of registration requirements and scheduling options.
• Retrieve messages from voicemail for appointment scheduling.
• Explain payment at time of service policy and required documents.
• Document patient information in the EMR and relay questions to providers.
• Refer new patients to the patient portal and mail intake packets as needed.
• Reschedule patients as needed and participate in team efficiency meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
