University Hospitals Urgent Care in Cleveland, OH is hiring a Patient Service Representative (Medical Receptionist). You will be the first point of contact, managing front-office tasks, insurance verification, and patient billing while delivering friendly, efficient service.

The role supports a fast-paced clinic, requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. 12-hour shifts, some weekends/holidays, and travel to other locations are involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant cert a plus.
• 1+ year in a medical office/healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience using EMR software, EPIC preferred.
• Ability to travel to other UH Urgent Care locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Warm Welcome: Greet patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Patient and Business Documentation: Maintain confidentiality and organize documents.
• Insurance Verification: Verify coverage and explain payment policies.
• Financial Responsibility: Collect patient financial responsibility.
• Collaborative Support: Assist with daily clinic operations.
• Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
• Administrative Duties: Perform office procedures and operate medical equipment.
• Quality Assurance: Support CLIA waived lab requirements and result trackers.
• Travel Requirement: Support staffing at other UH Urgent Care locations.
