University Hospitals Urgent Care is hiring a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-office experience. The role involves managing front-office tasks, assisting with administrative duties, and supporting clinic workflow in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Administrative Assistant certificate is a plus.
• Experience using EMR software, preferably EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all patients and visitors with a positive attitude.
• Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing patient and business documents.
• Verify health insurance benefits and eligibility and explain payment policies.
• Determine and collect each patient’s financial responsibility clearly.
• Assist the practice manager, providers, and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow HIPAA and OSHA standards and ensure proper documentation.
