Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Patient Services Specialist 2 to provide administrative support in a physician office, clinic, or similar setting. You will handle patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and phone inquiries, delivering patient-centered service.

Responsibilities include registering patients, collecting demographics, processing payments, and assisting with medical records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in a patient-facing or healthcare office.
• Healthcare environment experience encouraged; physician practice preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and visitors with check-in, check-out, scheduling, and phone inquiries.
• Register patients by collecting and verifying insurance information and demographics.
• Process payments and generate daily payment reports following guidelines.
• Maintain patient records and assist with chart retrieval and transfers.
• Support training and mentoring of junior staff as requested.
