Job summary

Southeast Primary Care Partners is seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet, check in/out, schedule appointments, collect payments, and maintain accurate patient records with sensitivity to privacy.

You will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, performing cash handling, assisting with intake, and coordinating with providers to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related work experience including data entry.
• Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology.
• Effective communication and customer service skills required (AIDET).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients as they arrive and checks in/out.
• Schedules appointments and manages the calendar.
• Collects co-payments, coinsurance and deductibles; issues receipts.
• Manages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies.
• Processes walk-in patients and visitors.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments (focus on return visits).
• Schedules referrals as indicated.
• Assists with patient outreach (e.g., reminders, AWV support).
• Maintains medical records; files/scans; prepares for schedule.
• Ensures all correspondence is scanned/ filed in a timely manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
