Job summary

California Protons Cancer Therapy Center is seeking a Patient Services Representative to enhance the patient experience. You will greet patients, register them, verify demographic and insurance information, and schedule appointments.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, HIPAA compliance, and the ability to coordinate with nursing, imaging and physicians. Experience in a front office medical setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a front office and/or business medical office position.
• Radiation Oncology experience a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, patient expectations, and elevate issues to appropriate management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with de-escalation ability.
• Must maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests in a professional, caring manner in person or over the phone.
• Accurate registration of patients by gathering information and entering data in the system.
• Schedule and confirm appointments with patients over the phone.
• Verify demographics and update necessary information in person or by phone.
• Coordinate with nursing, imaging techs, radiation therapists and physicians.
• Answer calls, route messages and inquiries appropriately.
• Assist in gathering reports and statistics for the department as needed.
• Upload CDs into MIM.
