Job summary

California Protons Cancer Therapy Center is seeking a Patient Services Representative Floater (PSR-F) to greet patients, register them, and manage scheduling and insurance tasks. The role supports a busy front desk and call center, coordinating with nursing and physicians to enhance patient experiences.

The PSR-F handles data entry, verifies demographics, and ensures forms are complete, while maintaining HIPAA standards and delivering exceptional customer service daily.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with de-escalation capability.
• Ability to adapt, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• 3–5 years of customer service in healthcare or call center context.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests professionally in person or by phone.
• Register patients accurately and enter data in the system.
• Work flexible hours to support facility and patient needs.
• Verify demographics and update information as needed.
• Schedule and confirm appointments by phone.
• Ensure forms are filled out correctly and provide assistance.
• Collaborate with nursing, imaging, and physicians as needed.
• Multi-task: scan forms, schedule appointments, answer calls.
• Schedule follow-up and imaging appointments (CT/MRI/PET).
• Route messages and inquiries to appropriate staff and gather reports as needed.
• Assist the team to complete all tasks and upload CDs into MIM.
• Verify insurance eligibility and determine patient financial responsibilities.
• Prepare and collect payments; set up payment arrangements.
